Supplemental Info:
Background
Al-Quds Day is Tehran’s 46-year long IRGC-orchestrated global campaign to delegitimize, isolate, and ultimately destroy Israel while exporting hatred against the United States. Launched by Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979 and financed through Iranian proxies, it weaponizes the Palestinian cause to unify Muslims under Tehran’s banner.
Al-Quds Day is fixed on the last Friday of Ramadan. This year it falls on Friday, March 13, 2026. With the launch of the U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Iran and assassination of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, these rallies are no longer routine agitprop. Khamenei’s death has been declared martyrdom by regime media.
Major rallies have been announced in the following cities:
San Francisco, CA
Dearborn, MI
Houston, TX
New York City
Toronto, Ont
There will be others, including the likelihood of events popping up on university campuses.
If the past is an indicator, expect to see Hezbollah and Hamas flags, fresh Khamenei martyr portraits, antisemitic tropes, terrorist glorification, and eliminationist rhetoric. “Death to Israel / Death to America” chants, and open praise for designated terrorist groups will also be widespread.
Note that these are not protected speech exercises, but carefully crafted ideological operations with recurring security threats in Western cities.
Outlook: High Probability of Kinetic Escalation
Khamenei’s fresh “martyr” status, combined with real-time U.S. and Israeli losses and Hezbollah’s active combat role in Lebanon, converts these rallies into revenge platforms for Iranian proxy networks on American soil.
There is potential for the following:
Targeted attacks on synagogues, Jewish schools and community centers, as well as individuals.
Direct assaults on police and counter-protesters.
Vehicular, edged-weapon, or small-arms attempts by lone actors or cells inspired by “resistance” doctrine.
Coordinated infrastructure disruptions for propaganda wins.
Recommendations
Treat every protest as hostile territory. Do not attend, drive through, or linger near announced rally zones (check local media).
Harden Jewish institutions and critical sites 48 hours out.
Heighten scrutiny at entrances.
Use local police scanners, Citizen app, or local news alerts for live updates.
If you live or work nearby, treat March 13–15 as a caution window.
