A widespread hacking campaign began two weeks ago impacting major US universities and state governments. A Russian-speaking ransomware group has claimed responsibility.

Russian hacking groups have also been threatening a major attack on the European banking system this week in order to hinder support for Ukraine.

Thus far only limited information has been released from DHS/CISA.
