DOJ says Dec 6, 2019 shooting by Saudi trainee at Pensacola NAS "was an act of terrorism." 21 add'l Saudi cadets removed from training and are returning to KSA.

The information below was released during ongoing DOJ news conference with AG William Barr and FBI Deputy Director David Bowdich:
  • Shooter possessed anti-U.S. mil, anti-Israel material, though no known nexus to a foreign terrorist org.

  • The other 21 cadets are being removed for a variety of offenses, including possession of jihadist material, child porn,and "conduct unbecoming.."  

  • DOJ unable to crack into shooter's two iPhones for add'l intelligence gathering. Apple not offering assistance, despite court order.
