Cities nationwide brace for protests in adv of release of police video showing Memphis officers fatally injuring black male during traffic stop. Caution urged.

29-YO Tyre Nichols was pulled over for a traffic violation in Memphis, TN on January 7th. He was hospitalized in critical condition after what police initially described as "confrontations" with the Memphis officers. He died three days later from injuries sustained during the incident.

Five Memphis police officers have been charged with varying degrees of murder, aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping, official misconduct and official oppression.

After school activities have been cancelled across the city.

Video of the incident is expected to be released at 7:00 PM EASTERN. Memphis officials have said the video is extremely violent.

Caution is urged if you live in a major metro area. Monitor local news for word of demonstrations and protests in your area.
