Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh and salam sejahtera.

I would like to take this opportunity to give a hearty thank you to all MFA members and I am honored to be given the opportunity to lead MFA for the term 2017/2019. Special thank to MFA’s Main Committee Members for 2015/2017 session, MFA’s Secretariat and the most privileged to all Members of MFA for your unwavering supports to MFA all these years.

Working with our new Main Committee Members lineup and the MFA team, my aim is to capture that spirit of innovation and creativity to deliver real value to our members, implementing plans for membership growth as well as restoring promising and a sustainable MFA budget position.

I am confident with the strong support from all members, MFA will strengthen its role and function to further strengthen the local franchise industry by facilitating its members to be more innovative and resilience in the challenges of competition due to the impact of globalization and liberalization of the market faced by many businesses these couple of years. Hence, I urged members of MFA to sustain their competitiveness and raise their capacity level to meet any challenges in the ever changing global business.

For 2017, MFA has lined up various activities for the development of franchise industry, to be participated by members specifically as well as to the publics. These programs are created to help the members to elevate themselves to the level of excellence in the franchising as well as to build a better relationship among the franchise players locally and internationally.

I take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to all members of MFA for your continuous commitment and strong support since the establishment of MFA thus far, as to give your full efforts to ensure the development of the franchise industry in the country is thriving.

It is my hope that every member will be more active in the programs organize by MFA in the future. I believe that this commitment will definitely boost the growth of the franchise industry in our country and realize the government's mission in producing more innovative, competitive and viable franchise entrepreneurs.

Thank you.

MESSAGE FROM ADVISOR
Malaysian Franchise Association

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh and salamsejahtera.

Alhamdulillah, thank  you  for  the  opportunity  given  to me to say few  words in this July Edition of our Franchise Mind.  About 23 years ago, the Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA), was born. Starting off and then, MFA has been established and moving forward in becoming  the  only franchise association in Malaysia today.  With only 44 sponsors back then,   MFA   now   has   nearly   300   active  members,  comprising  franchisors,  master franchisors,   franchisees,   would   be   franchisors,   would   be   franchisees,   franchise consultants, financial institutions, law firms, and academicians.

Despite  these  figures, MFA  has major  roles  and  responsibilities  to play in the  Malaysian  franchise  landscape. Highlighting the  key  objectives  and roles  of  MFA  is  to  consolidate  the  efforts of  its  members to  protect  their interests.  This is one  of the  main essence of the  MFA struggle over the  years. We are in the association, always ensuring that the interest of the members are well-maintained and served.

Are we (MFA)  now  on track, to support the  vision and  mission of  the Malaysian  Franchise  Industry? I leave this pertinent  question for all of us. Despite all the efforts and supports from the members, the industry essentially  was never deserted by hurdles and challenges. These include, in terms of national and  international relations, relations between ministries,  agencies,  and  other NGOs,  financial  challenges,  and the need to  emphasize are on mutual relationship between MFA members. These  challenges need to be  addressed with planning, strategy and  support from the Main Committee Members, MFA Secretariat to the members as a whole.

Lastly, I congratulate the new lineup of  MFA’s Main  Committee  Members for 2017/2019 and  wishing  them all the best, in  asserting and carrying out their duties and  responsibilities well. Please, continue to contribute and support the new Chairman in executing every agenda and direction set forth.

To the newly elected Chairman and Main Committee Members, may I say:–

“Build your resilience to serve”

With this  opportunity, I would  like to thank all  members of MFA, the Main Committee Members, MFA’s  Secretariat and  all parties  involved for all the supports  and  assistance given to me during  my tenure as MFA’s  Chairman for 2015/2017.

Together we pray that our efforts to grow the franchise industry in Malaysia will be a success.

Thank you.

Datuk Wira Mohd Latip Sarrugi
Advisor

This  mark  the quality of  unflagging discipline  in perseverance,  persistence and  endurance for a man who started as an entrepreneur moving towards becoming an industry player internationally.

HARTA started  off as a  mere  cleaning  service  company  but  now  moving  confidently around  sustainable   cleaning  services   to provide a conducive  environment for today’s building occupants.  With the  advent of  advance  technology  and  sophisticated  systems, a lot  of innovation  and improvement ideas are incorporated towards a more productive and profitable operations.  These are done to meet up with escalating clients demand and forever changing situations and surroundings.
“To those who wish to capitalize on emerging opportunities competitive edge, it is crucial for them to be proficient at change management.  Following  years of  challenge  and change, the  cleaning industry  prepares  for a promising future.  But there’s a catch:  those  who  wish  to  capitalize on  emerging  opportunities  must  learn  new skills and prepare to take on competitive  challenges with  creativity and a heightened sense of professionalism and business acumen.  With  a  challenging  global  economy,  it  is  clear  that  there  are  plenty  of  opportunities  ahead  to  the betterment of the organization and future career enhancement. In fact, our contributing experts tell us that there are also many prospects.
