A brief followup on the CFPB rules that are now governing all US real estate transactions. There were articles published in the Washington Post and Wall Street Journal recently that elaborate on the challenges I mentioned last week.

If you're planning to buy or sell in the near future, this is something to keep tabs on. The level of knowledge and service of your lender, escrow agent, and real estate agent are more important than ever, given these changes.

Closings
Just 3 small closings last week, nothing statistically significant to report other than the dip in sales. It will be interesting to see if closings slow this fall, especially around the holidays -- or if they remain atypically strong, as they did in summer.
