As a photo archivist, there’s one statistic that always stops me. 96% of pre-digital photos haven’t been seen since they were first developed.
And it raises a simple question.
Why did we work so hard to buy the film, set up the shot, and press the camera's shutter… If the pictures were only meant to be seen once, then forgotten?
Your photos were never meant for that. They were meant to come back to us. |
