Divine Mercy Sunday.
A Great Promise from Jesus to You

According to this great promise, Jesus is offering all souls a chance for a new "baptism" each year, giving everyone an opportunity to "wipe the soul clean."  If a soul, taking advantage of this great gift in all sincerity and with proper contrition, was to die after receiving Holy Communion on the Feast Of Mercy (the Sunday following Easter Sunday) and before committing another sin, they would go immediately to Heaven, without any time in Purgatory - regardless of past life.  There seems to be no other meaning to this promise of Our Lord.  This is the unbelievable and little misunderstood love and mercy of God for sinners.

Exhorting people to hasten to Him before it is too late, Jesus said, "before I come as the just one, I first open wide the gates of My Mercy.  He who does not pass through the gates of My Mercy must pass through the gates of injustice."

Jesus permitted Sr. Faustina to see the enormity of people's sins on Earth.  She was frightened at their hideousness, and asked Jesus how He could suffer such terrible insult.  Jesus told her,  concerning the many terrible sins in the world, "I have eternity for the punishment of these.  For now I prolong My Mercy.  But, woe to him who ignores the time of My Mercy."

Another time, Jesus said, "My daughter, the flames of My Mercy burn bright.  I desire to pour it out on human souls.  Oh what pain they cause Me when they do not accept it."

Our Blessed Mother often appeared to Sr. Faustina, too.  On the Feast of the Annunciation in 1936, Mary said to her, "I gave the world a Savior, you must make known His Mercy and prepare the world for His Second Coming.  He will then come, not as a Merciful Savior but as a Just Judge.  Oh, how terrible is that day.  Determined is the day of Justice.  Angels tremble before it.  Speak to souls of His Great Mercy while there is still time.  If you remain silent now, you will have to account for a great number of souls on that final day.  Fear nothing.  Be faithful to the end."

Prayer from Saint Faustina’s Diary:

“Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments, we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy Will, which is Love and Mercy, itself.”
Amen.

May God Bless and Watch Over You and Your Loved Ones!
