Hi there,

MARCHINGTON MUSIC CLUB

Well we have new friends in D.H.LAWRENCE & THE SKIFFLE GROUP, they were excellent and a good laugh too!

Plans are already a foot to bring them back a couple of times later in the year!

Moving onwards, the whole of February is full of newcomers, next up BACKLINE BLUES BAND! No official website it seems but Y-tube videos and a Facebook page if you want to delve deeper!!

Alternatively turn up and see a great blues band who have been around the block a lot and through that know their craft! Starts 5pm this coming Sunday!

BACKLINE BLUES is a lively 4 piece blues/rock band playing music by Joe Bonamassa, Santana, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan and many others - a combination of blues material with a rocky feel which we have found has a wide appeal. The line up is Lead Guitar/vocals, Keyboards, Bass & vocals and Drums
As well as pubs and music venues we've played various festivals including the Robin Hood CAMRA Festival at Nottingham Castle and several for Derby CAMRA.We were named as Best Blues Band by Moonshine magazine (East Midlands gig guide).

What a good launch night we had on Friday and applaud all those who attended and drank ALL the beer!!

Latest update is we will be having some more….hopefully this week!!

Meantime we have commissioned the guys to produce two beers for the Marchington Melee under the working titles of MELEE 9 and D&P BEST BITTER!!
