The Soul funk junkies blew everyone away on Sunday, so much so we will get them back as soon as possible which may well be the New Year, but we’re on it!
This Sunday sees the arrival of THE MIDNIGHT SPECIALS, off shoot of the popular SOUTHBOUND who also join us again in three to four weeks time!
They describe themselves as-
Exciting new trio The Midnight Specials play a mix of Americana including old style country music, honky tonk and swing.

Dave 'Mitch' Proctor - mandolin, guitar, fiddle, vocals
Paul Wood - guitar, fiddle, vocals
Graeme Parry - double bass
Dave Proctor is also known round here as fiddler with Derby's RCajun, The Bearcats and The Po' Boys. He put the band together with Paul to get back to 'country basics' and tight 'brother' style harmonies are a major feature of their sound along with slick intrumental skills. Graeme is a top funk bass player, and he's joined up recently, adding driving double bass to complete the line up. (photo attached)
