Hi there,
Firstly I would like to comment and say what a great success the village festival was this past weekend and seems to be going from strength to strength, and hope the Dog & Partridge can get more involved next year!
The Alms house Burger & beer stand at the cricket match turned over £800.00 (I enjoyed flipping Burgers- it’s that old man and fire instinct to be macho burning stuff!) and did far more than expected, so thanks to all who made purchases!
Now onwards, there’s the matter of this weekend’s...

AMERICANA FESTIVAL
Over the past few weeks we have sent you biogs and photos so you can familiarise yourselves with the weekend’s entertainment, now it just remains to give you the finer details.
Friday evening things start happening from around 7.30 featuring music from DJ Mick Moonshine, sandwiched between two sets from the Zydeco Hotrods, music finishing around 11pm, then a few drinks in the pub.
Saturday, below is an approximate running order so come along get a good seat or spot from 3pm onward, if it’s anything like the past three year’s parties( if weather is with us) it should be a very pleasant afternoon/ evening.
Sunday, business as usual 5.30 onwards for the music brought to you by the ever popular L’il Rooster
Other items of interest, a Barbeque from 3.30pm onwards Saturday (and Friday night from 8pm) and………….JACK DANIELS & COKE £2.50 ( WHILE STOCKS LAST )
After all if you're going to go all things Americana what better tipple for the day’s proceedings! |

Fund raising on the day, we have pledged the first £300.00 of wet sales to the local shop and Alms house funds and we are thinking of asking a minor tariff of a pound per beaker (as a one off purchase) to expand the funds!!!
So hopefully you will come along and lend your support and have a good time in the process!!
