Departments Help Your Company Stay Organized
Departments are important for your company both in the office and in the RingByName App. We have built in many useful department features to help your team stay organized and keep open lines of communication with your customers. For example, whenever you add a user to a department, his/her phone will ring with the rest of the users. You can choose weather to have them all ring at once, or ring in a specific order. Other options include the ability to add hours to the department, rollover calls, or record all calls for the entire department. Each department can also add their own voicemail box and custom voicemail message. |

How to Setup a Department in the RingByName Web App
Any user, with the right permissions set in the admin, can setup a department. Once you are logged into the admin:
Click on "RingByName Setup" or “Main Setup” on the navigation bar along the top of the screen.

On the left side, you will see “Department” section. Click on it to view the departments.
The system always have “Sales” and “Technical Support” as default departments. You can edit, keep it, or delete it based on your need.

Click on top of the department you would like to view or edit.
|
|
|
|
To add a new department, click on top of “Add Department”.
|
|
|
Once you clicked on “Add Department” the right side will appear with the information that needs to be configured.
|
|
|
|
