Our first summer Song Studio class is this Friday, June 27th! There are still a few spots left, so grab yours before they're gone. See details below!

Plus, we are introducing a new class this Fall, Acting Through Song, co-facilitated by Stephanie Lynne Smith and Caitlin Lushington. Check it out!

Thank you so much to everyone that turned out for our Pride concert, and for 'going with the flow' with our unexpected shift in location! The ease and care with which our community adapted on the fly was indicative, I think, of the specialness of the collective we've created together. Thank you!

Warmly,

Daniel Buchanan

P.S. Are you new to our newsletters? Welcome! Please don't hesitate to reach out and ask any questions you might have about our classes, private lessons, or rentals. We're glad you're here!

Sunday September 20th

You’re working on a song that means something to you. You can hit all the notes and it sure sounds good, but how do you bring the meaning of this song to life? How might you bring emotion, intention, and clarity to the story this song wants to tell? And of course, the question everyone wants to know: What do I do with my hands?!?!

In this class participants will learn how to apply acting techniques to more fully inhabit a song they are working on. You’ll unpack the text of your song and learn how to invest in the imaginary circumstances of your song’s story. We’ll explore nervous system regulation techniques for keeping you grounded and calm during performance, and you’ll celebrate and support your fellow participants’ performances with playful and engaging exercises.

Sunday Sept. 20 from 2:00p-4:30p

@ Resound NW

$50 / participant

STUDIO GATHERINGS

Saturday August 22nd

Join us for our next studio gathering, featuring our private students and staff!

Our Studio Gatherings are an opportunity for our students to perform for each other, to share what they are learning in their music lessons, and for friends and family to support their loved ones. They are also a great opportunity for those new to our studio to come see what we're all about! Audiences will be invited to join in on the sing-a-long songs.

Good things to note:
WHEN: Saturday August 22nd from 2:00p - 5:00p
WHERE: TBA
WHO: Friends & family of our singers are most welcome, as is the general public. Our concerts are a great opportunity for prospective students to come and see what we do!
TICKETS: Free! No registration required, just come!

We will see you there!
