Our next Song Studio is Friday, March 28th with Claire Hudkins and Daniel Buchanan! Just two spots left for this class.

STUDIO GATHERINGS

We're delighted to invite you to our next Studio Gathering! Our April 12th gathering will feature two sets, one beginning at 5:00p and the other beginning at 6:30p. Feel free to join us for just one, or both!

Students: if you are interested in performing at our gathering, please get in touch with your teacher, and they can help you sign up!

Our Studio Gatherings are an opportunity for our students to perform for each other, to share what they are learning in their music lessons, and for friends and family to support their loved ones. Audiences will be invited to join in on the sing-a-long songs!

WHEN: Saturday, April 12th with two sets: 5:00p and 6:30p

WHERE: Resound NW, 1532 SW Jefferson St, Portland, OR

WHO: Friends & family of our singers are most welcome, as is the general public. Our concerts are a great opportunity for prospective students to come and see what we do!

TICKETS: Free! No registration required, just come!

BRING: Something to offer to our Potluck table, if you wish. A snack, main dish, salad, or drink to share is great! Wine is ok, and plates/cups/napkins will be provided.

Song Studio

Song Studio is an opportunity for our community to come together through singing and provide a supportive environment to practice performing. After a period of group singing and warm-up, this class focuses on individual performances from students.

INVESTMENT: $40/class, or observe for free!

The Creative Songsmith | Tuesday, April 1st

Elevate your music in this interactive and personalized masterclass. Whether you're a budding songwriter or a seasoned composer, this class is designed to help you refine your craft and enhance your songwriting skills. Bring your original song or original arrangement of a cover to the class, and receive constructive feedback. Students are encouraged to accompany themselves, though using pre recorded accompaniment is also welcome.

Who is this class for?

Anyone who has a song they’ve written (or an original arrangement of a cover) and is eager to get feedback to improve it.
Aspiring songwriters looking to take their compositions to the next level.

WORKSHOPS WITH STAFF

Sunday April 13th

From Resound NW Staff Instructor Courtney Freed:

Courtney Freed (and friends) are offering a fun, welcoming, musical opportunity for jazz-curious singers to workshop their standard song options with live, professional jazz musicians.

Attendees will address technique, interpretation, choosing rep, how to sing in collaboration and more! This workshop will be monthly (on a Sunday) in the NW Portland suburbs from 2:30-4:30pm.

Upcoming Dates include: 4/13. Please reach out if you are interested in attending a session! The workshop is $50 and there is a package available for 6 sessions. All levels welcome

Merideth Kaye Clark will be performing with her band, Siren Songs, Saturday, March 29th at Alberta Abbey. The acoustic duo will be sharing the bill with the energetic harmony-driven trio, Portland-based The Junebugs.
