UK trade with Brazil set to boom in coming years, says Foreign Secretary

BrazilThe UK's Foreign Secretary, William Hague, has predicted a boom in trading between the UK and Brazil, stating that possibilities for growth are "almost limitless."

Brazil's economy has enjoyed much success in recent years, following a series of economic reforms in the 1990s. Last month, it overtook the UK to become the world's sixth-largest economy.

Speaking on the BBC's The World Tonight show, Mr Hague spoke of the potential for growth in the Brazil economy: "There are huge opportunities in Brazil. Our target is to double our trade within five years, from 2010 to 2015, and there has been a strong increase.

Expat Explorer Survey, HSBCFindings of the 2011 Expat Explorer survey from HSBC Expat (formerly HSBC Bank International) reveal that expat wealth remains widely immune to global economic troubles, even in countries that have experienced significant turbulence over the past year.

Now in its fourth year, Expat Explorer surveyed 3,385 expats from over 100 countries, an increase in reach from 2010. It covers every aspect of life overseas, from managing finances, and the economic benefits of relocating, to lifestyle issues and raising children abroad, and provides HSBC Expat with valuable insights into the expat population and the challenges and opportunities expats face in moving and living abroad.
