Dear Colleagues,
NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE: SAMPLE STD QUALITY INDICATORS. Maximizing the impact of STD program resources requires ongoing measurement and monitoring. Through a consensus process, STD and Title X program leaders from across the country, worked together to assemble a set of sample program indicators that address 5 core areas of STD Program operations specific to Chlamydia and Gonorrhea prevention and treatment programming: Screening Coverage, Positivity, Treatment, Partner Services and Retesting.
The indicators, outlined in, "IPP Epi Methods Quality Indicators Workgroup: Summary Report and Recommendations," were chosen based on their relevance to current CDC priorities. They may be considered alongside other quality indicators, or performance measures, based on the specific needs and priorities of your program, and recommendations from national organizations or funders.
