Regally Binding with the spiciest bodyguard ever!

I have never loved a book or romance hero more than I love Regally Binding and Bear the bodyguard.

So, you think you’ve swooned and fantasised before? You’ve not come close (no pun intended). Bear is grumpy and brooding. He looks like Tom Hardy, he talks like a filthy bastard, and he f***s like the bad boy you’ve always dreamed of. But he has a saviour complex that gets him into trouble, too.

Here’s the cover because you know Bear is the kind of man to throw a woman over his shoulder when she’s not behaving, and he does it to Liss, the accidental princess, more than once.

And now for the blurb:

Liss is an average twenty-something woman with a regular job working in a bar...until the day she learns during a televised broadcast that her grandma had an affair with the king decades ago and she might be his granddaughter.

The dying king's announcement throws Liss into a world of paparazzi, royal parties, and death threats. But it also gives her hope that she could finally be part of a family, something she's wanted her whole life and especially after her mum died when Liss was nineteen. Now she has to decide if she's ready to give up her privacy, safety, and independence to be a princess.

To protect Liss in all this danger and stress is her swoonworthy new bodyguard, Bear. He’s cheeky, grumpy, and has secret tattoos beneath his suits. He’s also stubborn and bossy and clashes with Liss constantly. But Bear has a soft side too. He sits with Liss when she sleeps to make sure she doesn’t have nightmares and buys her stunning ballgowns to make her happy.

It's not long before all the bickering and tension morphs into sizzling hot chemistry. Both Liss and Bear know that giving into their attraction is a terrible idea...but it's getting harder and harder to fight their feelings for each other.
Will Bear keep Liss alive long enough for her to decide her future? And what if the one person keeping her safe is the same person she can’t live without?

Fans of Tessa Bailey will enjoy this spicy romance novel that is The Princess Diaries meets The Bodyguard with a little Red, White and Royal Blue. It features forced proximity, enemies to lovers, forbidden love, and found family tropes with anxiety representation. It’s single POV, 3rd person and past tense.

This book contains sexual situations and language only suitable for those aged 18+

In other news, some fantastic books have been released recently.

Here are my independently published recommendations for Indie April:

Call Your Shot by Kathryn Kincaid is a spicy baseball romance

There are so many incredible things about this book. Kathryn’s writing is engaging and creative. The story is imaginative, unique, and full of brilliant moments. I loved the way Kathryn tackled the second chance trope. I believed in the chemistry between Brenna and Nathan. Their relationship was full of angst and painful backstory, but they also had genuine caring moments for each other.

I learned a lot from reading this book. I’ve never read about characters with the form of neurodiversity of Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). This was incredibly well done and gave me an insight that I really enjoyed.

In Call Your Shot, the stakes are high, the romance is epic, and there’s so much tension; the steamy kind. I was desperate to get to that HEA when there was so much to play for.

Kathryn continues to showcase her talent in each of her books, making me keen to read the next. This is my first baseball book, but it won’t be my last especially if Kathryn writes another (keeps my fingers crossed!). Read this book. You won’t regret it.

No Freaking Way by Sarah Smith is a spicy fake relationship romance

This was another excellent Grant family book filled with fun. I was fully engaged with No Freaking Way and fascinated with where it would go. This was a brilliant book, and the spice scenes were perfect. The moments between Tyler and Tori were scorching, especially a particular changing room moment! Read this book for that scene alone.

That said, the whole book is excellent. Two addictive tropes of friends to lovers and fake relationships formed the story's background. In addition, it was lovely to read these characters with depth and backgrounds that spoke to their current life dilemmas. It was also a joy to revisit the members of the Grant family from previous books. Sarah smashes it again.

Smoking Gun by Lainey Lawson

This book was exactly what I needed, with its mixture of explosive spice, intense romance, and pain-filled backstories. I can't remember when I last read a cowboy romance, but everything about this book reminded me why they're so popular.

Gage is hot, loveable and carries significant secrets. But the best thing about Gage, aside from his spicy skills, is that when he falls, he does it hard and forever.

Lainey Lawson has created a world I want to lose myself in. I can't wait for more.
