What is the surprise gift that many animal companions bring us?
Over the years, many clients have asked me, "I have the same issue as my animal friend. Is he taking on my illness (my emotions, my attitudes, my beliefs)? I feel so guilty. Please tell him to stop."
Whether it's physical illness or buried emotional trauma, or limiting beliefs, or a combination of these things, it is quite common for our animals to have the same issues that we do.
Are they taking on our issues or is something even more amazing happening
A true story: A cat helps her human avoid breast cancer.
In my 30+ years of doing Animal Communication professionally, I have found that some animals do take on an illness that a human is experiencing, although this is rare.
One instance that stands out in my memory was a woman who was receiving alternative energy treatments to prevent nodules in her breasts from becoming cancerous, as breast cancer ran in her family. At the same time, her female cat had a mammary tumor.
The woman asked me to do energy healing for her cat. She, herself, was seeing an energy healer to resolve the issue within her own body.
The cat told me, "I'm here to prevent her from having this illness. I will leave this body soon, but return later in a new body when she is healed." I could psychically see energy the cat was pulling from both the woman's breasts into the tumor in her feline body.
When I asked the cat to stop taking on the cancerous energy, as the woman had requested, the cat refused. "This is why I'm in her life. It's my life purpose. Please reassure her that I will come back to her soon."
And that was exactly what happened. The woman never developed breast cancer and the cat returned to her in a new body a few years later.
Because we are all energy and because we are all magnetic, we attract into our lives beings of various forms who resonate with our energy. This is planned on the Soul Plane before we incarnate, and the frequencies are set up to make subtle recognition possible.
When we meet an animal to whom we feel drawn, it's because their energies and our energies resonate. We may feel we know them or are inexplicably drawn to them. They recognize us, too.
I've heard many stories of kittens and puppies and bunnies who immediately go to the person to whom they are attracted, follow them around until the human pays attention, or come right up to them and get into their lap.
Today, so many people are adopting animals who have experienced trauma. Is it possible that this animal is with you because, deep inside, you are resonating with their trauma? If you've experienced trauma in your own life and you empathize with the animal's pain, that may be part of the energy resonance that's drawing you to each other.
Here are a few questions to ask yourself. The answers may be helpful to you both.
1_ What is it about this animal that is attracting me?
2_ What is it in me that is drawn to this animal?
3_ What is it in me that the animal feels connection with?
3_ What purpose do I believe this animals has in my life?
4_ What are my expectations for my relationship with this animal?
