~~ HASTA: Healing and Support for Traumatized Animals

  • Have you recently adopted an animal from a shelter or rescue organization?

  • Did you imagine that you and the animal will immediately bond, but somehow that expectation isn't materializing?

  • Does the animal have some behaviors that seem odd and/or difficult to understand or manage?

  • Does the animal have some health issues that would benefit from energetic healing?

Animals who have been in shelters may be emotionally traumatized and unable to move past those traumas without assistance.

HASTA sessions recognize that these animals have special needs.

HASTA sessions combine Animal Communication and Energy Healing.

Animal Communication helps an animal feel heard, understood, and accepted. The animal begins to let go of the fear that connecting with another human will lead to more disappointment.

Restoring TRUST is essential to helping these animals.

With The Emotion Codeβ„’ and other Energy Healing techniques, these animals can be helped to restore balance, harmony, and health at all levels.

  • Feelings of abandonment, and grieving may be holding your companion back from feeling good about their new home. Some animals with these emotions are living in the past and not in the now moment.

  • Many shelters kill animals after a certain amount of time. The terror, panic, anger, and fear that permeate such shelters, as well as some of the spirits of the animals who are killed, may attach to an animal who survives the shelter to find a new home.

  • Balancing chakras and restoring life force energy assists an animal to settle into a new living situation more quickly, and provides support for chronic health issues the animal may brings with them, such as heart problems, kidney disease, and others.

With HASTA, you can help your new companion feel at home more quickly and build a loving bond more rapidly, too.

~ Melissa Comments on Winter in Connecticut.

Animal Communication brings your relationship to a whole new level. When I talked to Melissa (see above photo) about winter, she had strong opinions about winter cold and the foot or more of snow we got last night.

"I suppose I could have been born into a warmer climate, but I have my reasons for being here," says Melissa. "This winter is totally unacceptable! Too much cold! And too cold!! And now a huge pile of wet, cold, white stuff out there. And the wind is [shudder, shiver]."

"Nedda says there's more snow coming. Sigh. I keep dreaming about spring, but that's weeks, and weeks away. Sigh. Will spring ever come?"

When temps were in the 20's, she'd insist I go with her to the sliding glass back door on the porch. I'd open it so she could sniff the air for herself and make a decision. Out? In? Try again later?

When the temp was very cold or the wind blew into her face, she'd vocalize a comment, often accompanied by a telepathic swear word. (Sorry, not allowed to print that here.)

~ Starlight's Animal Care Tip for February, 2021

Starlight wants to share that being brushed is "the cat's meow," although she feels that expression is a bit silly.

She recommends using a brush that feels like a mother cat's tongue, and using it in the same way a moma cat or moma dog would groom a kitten or puppy.

"Head brushing is the best," Starlight says. "All the places your own tongue can't reach, like the ears, and sides of the head and top, and even around the eyes, and nose, and ears. Ohhhhhh," she sighs, remembering the brushing she had this morning.

If your cat or dog doesn't like to be brushed, you might teach them about it. Check out this article on Desensitizing Your Cat or Dog.

Benefits of Brushing Your Dog or Cat.

  • Brushing builds a strong bond of love between you. It's a very intimate time, and a great way to build trust.

  • Injured and elderly animals benefit from brushing because it helps circulation.

  • It teaches your animals to allow you to handling their paws and other sensitive body parts.

  • It's a great way to check out their body for sore spots, injuries, and ticks or other insects.
