Subject: Monthly Colorado Mediation Group meeting

Hello Friend:

This is a notice from Quallo, the Mediation group.

Several of you have attended the monthly meeting of our local mediation group here in Colorado, which this month is Saturday August 15th. Meetings are held via Zoom and you are all invited!  Details are below, and for your information I show this link which will give the start time in your timezone. The meeting lasts for three hours.

Our Mediation Peer Group is coming up on August 15, 2020, Peggy and Rogelio are pleased to have two guest speakers talking about Parenting Consultation. They will be on Zoom for 45 minutes, will take questions, then we can have an open dialogue for whatever else we want to talk about.

These 2 presenters are women I was with in a prior long-term mediation peer group. Both are counselors and PRE’s. One, Elaine O’Reilly, www.elaineoreilly.com, started out as a psychotherapist, then added mediator, CFI, PRE and now offers parenting consultation. The other person, Jane Irvine, www.janeirvine-ma-lpc.com, started out as an attorney in England, came to the USA and mediated. She is the author of “Connecting with your Kids,” is published in the Family Law Journal, and the 2011 Colorado Domestic Violence Bench Book, and several other articles, videos and presentations educating people about divorce and the impact on children. Jane is also offering parenting consultation. Both women have been change-makers in Colorado’s family and divorce arena and are willing to share 45 minutes of their Saturday morning to talk about parenting consultation.

Here is a definition of Parenting Consultation:

Shared-parenting consultation is a confidential, voluntary, and a non-binding process. This means parents will be able to openly share information and thoughts with an experienced expert without the fear that something you say may be used against you in court. Because you are not required to follow the consultant’s advice or recommendations, you do not have to fear that you will lose control of the outcome. If you do come to agreement, the parenting consultant can provide you with a written Memorandum of Understanding, outlining your agreement in a format that can be submitted directly to the court.

After our time with Elaine and Jane, the PR mediation Peer Group will have an open dialogue until noon. This part of the Mediation Peer Group was strongly requested prior to our Covid 19 shutdown requiring our Zoom peer groups. So, we hope people who voiced that request will join us for this peer group.

I hope to see you there!
