Can You Create and Sell an Online Course?
Yes, you can. You simply have to know how. No matter how you may feel about yourself or even how you may feel about how others perceive you, there is no doubt whatsoever that you have something to offer that other people want. If you wish, watch the video message I put together for you below:
Watch this short video I made with a personal message to you.
Extending what I said yesterday about blogging and monetising a blog, a digital course is merely a series of articles (or blogs, if you will) that are put together and delivered in a slightly different way. It is easy to compile a few videos. If you watched the message I prepared for you, you saw that anyone can make a video.
But, here's the thing. I didn't make that video at all. It isn't even me talking. It's a clone of my voice. And the images used were all generated by a little A.I. assistant. All I had to do was check for silly mistakes and errors.
The point here is that anyone can do this. You don't have to be on camera, and you don't even have to speak. You could use any voice they have in their library if you don't want to use your own.
I made that video using something called Invideo, and whilst I used a paid version because a paid version of Invideo is better and more capable than the free version, you can get a free version to experiment with and hone your skills. And InVideo isn't a recommendation (no affiliate links here). Look around and do a little research. There are many.
Hey! How about that for an information course idea? How about putting together a course based on all the different resources and equipment people might need to create their own online toolbox?
Contrary to what you probably think, you also don't need a fancy studio and a Shakespearean voice to present a video. In fact, with A.I.-driven sites now like InVideo, life online has never been easier.
Overview:
If you have some knowledge in any area (e.g., cooking, photography, budgeting), you can create an online course and sell it repeatedly without ongoing effort.
Steps to Get Started:
Choose a topic you’re knowledgeable about and identify a specific audience (e.g., “Cooking for Beginners”).
Use free tools like Canva to create course slides and record lessons with Zoom or Loom or things like InVideo.
Host your course for free on platforms like Thinkific or Teachable (free plans available).
Promote your course through your social media or blog.
Why It Works:
People are always willing to pay for knowledge that solves a specific problem. For example, a £30 course on “Budget Cooking for Families” can generate consistent sales without additional work.
Free Resources:
And finally, if you can add humour or some original presentation ideas, imagine how far you could go with this.

NB: Remember what I said yesterday, becoming an expert is easy, just read three or more books on a subject you love.
NBB: One of the most famous books from around the late nineties or early two thousands was "Chicken Soup For The Soul" by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen. It was (may still be) a mega best seller and it was a collection of inspirational stories about other people.
All Jack and Mark did was compile them, and they made millions with the book. Food for thought?
