The Best Years Yet Are Still To Come
It's been a tough one, that's for sure.
With Covid banging on the door.
Confusion is the big buzz word
as many voices must be heard.
And still we have a challenge left
as common sense appears bereft.
We've seen the worst, we've seen the best
as human nature pounds its chest.
So many folks have lost their way
as we approach our Christmas Day.
Without our families by our side
it's lock-down blues for this Yuletide.
And yet we had our Christmas Star
visit us from much afar.
Reminding us, or so it seems,
to hold fast always to our dreams.
The best years yet are still to come.
So let's not end the year so glum.
But look instead for better times
and better words and better rhymes.
