Back in March, I told you about Treasure Island for the first time. Since then, they raised enough to fund the first series that is set to go "live" in October '25, and they then closed the doors to new free members on May 1st.
The series (the first of many more to come) is a reality streaming TV show where 16 of the biggest social influencers online compete for a big prize and engage their followers to help them solve clues they need to crack to progress through the show.
The format is ingenious, and between the 16, they command the attention of some 50 million followers! And Treasure Island members can legitimately earn ongoing commissions/royalties (passive income) just by being involved and adding to the crowdfunding pot.

I used that quote above about embracing the unexpected because many I speak to are suddenly becoming aware of the power of influencer marketing. I even caught a business programme on the BBC News channel recently covering this.
They were talking about the rise of new companies like Gym Shark that had built their business exclusively using the social influencer model, and other big companies like Nike that are using the influencer model more and more.
