Subject: Enjoy, Educate and Earn

Hi Friend

I enjoy the 5 to 10 minutes I spend on Satsman whilst drinking my morning coffee. But, at least, I can claim that these valuable minutes are rewarding.

In contrast, walk down any street in pretty much any country or, better still, sit for a while, maybe on a park bench, or in coffee shop and just watch the people walking past you. They are all, almost without exception, young and old, holding a mobile device in their hand.

What has them so absorbed? Well, according to research there is a high probability that they are engaging in aimless scrolling, social media feeds, messaging or simply checking notifications without any purpose or goal whatsoever.

Want a real treat? Make this observation whilst sitting on a tube train.

If you were able to show them or tell them that they could be getting paid for that activity, I think they might want to go check that for themselves. That is entirely what Satsman is about.

If you make the observation whilst taking a "timeout" in a big city and you really allow it to sink in, you'll probably be both amazed and even, perhaps, horrified. Few of them are even looking ahead as they walk.

If you are 35 or 40 years of age plus, you may still remember a life that was not so self-absorbed when people had the time and the patience to talk to each other using what we were born with rather than a hand-held device.

Forgive my musings but I think it would not be exagerating to say that most folk aren't interested in what is happening around them; only what they can see on their handheld phones.

So, logically, in those rare moments when you can grab their attention; offering them an opportunity to enjoy being further absorbed in their mobile devices; whilst also having a little fun, and learning without even being aware of it, well, that seems like a potential winner.

Especially if you and then they are earning a little whilst taking part in this activity based entirely on their mobile device. Do you see why this has potential?

Of course there's an obstacle or two to overcome - the words "learning" and "education" can be tricky ones that could even trigger the urge in someone to run away. Seriously, I kid you not...

Because education falls down in one major area. Historically, it never really deals with teaching us how to think. And, whichever way you cut it education isn't normally associated with fun. If we were to think; we'd all look for ways to turn that idle time scrolling whilst strolling into a chance to make a little.

Most people, when done with school and given free choice in the matter of "education" will refuse to partake. And yet; ask anyone if they are good at thinking and the answer will be an absoloute "yes I am".

One of the most thought provoking statements I've ever come across on the subject of thinking is this (from the mind of Earl Nightingale):

"most people will go to any length to avoid thinking when faced with a problem, because they were never taught how to think."

You can come to your own conclusion as to whether or not you agree with that statement but I, for one, absolutely do and I see this becoming more obvious as yet another hand is filled with yet another smartphone.

Here's a text message you could send to anyone today and it wouldn't be seen as strange. Why a text message? They get read by people scrolling whilst strolling! And you could send it to as many people as you like.

Imagine that, you don't even have to talk to them. Some, for sure, will act on this message. More, for sure, will not but, you'll be doing no harm to those that receive it because they are just engaged in aimless scrolling remember.

"Check this out, I'm enjoying this and I'm actually getting paid a little for doing it!"

Below the message is your share link to Satsman. Of course, you'd need a share link to share with others but getting that is a breeze. Just click the word Satsman wherever you see it in this message. It's free to join.

Oh, and of course, you could also share that message on Social Media. I hate Social Media personally, I really do, but even I find sharing that Satsman message there simple enough.

Ps. You are paid in Satoshis each day (that's small amounts of Bitcoin). I've heard people say that Bitcoin isn't money. Apparently, it's only really money if its a currency that loses value and spending power daily.

So I guess those folks who say Bitcoin isn't money must be right because Bitcoin (like gold) is one of only a few stores of value that has typically always increased in value and spending power. It's gone from ZERO value in January 2009 to $83,795 as I write...

Thing is though, much as I like gold, can't get gold for free...
