The Bitclub web site was under relentless attack for two whole days and the tech guys have been defending, closing holes made and, well, whatever tech guys do to defend us in such circumstances.
There is nothing to fear, the good guys stood their ground and fought the bad guys off. The "hole" that the hackers attacked through actually came through the domain provider and they were able to hack into one level of the invoicing system but to no avail. They were not able to do more than re-route a couple of invoices before they were stopped.
As far as I know, no-one over here was affected and, overall, the hackers were unable to do any real damage such as taking any funds from wallets. A few people had some invoice payments re-directed but I believe that BCN have put that right now.
Now the site is being beefed up even more to prevent the same thing happening again. Unfortunately, when you are a high profile organisation and the perception is that you could be a lucrative source of funds to attack, this stuff will happen.
Now you need not guess about what is happening (because you know) and all should be back to normal once they have totally patched up any problems. Do not worry if the site remains down for a few more days.
