I get as frustrated as the next guy when things don't seem to be happening and aren't maybe moving as fast as I'd like, so I'm doing my bit here to keep you all posted as best I can. Nothing ever moves fast enough for me, I guess that is the biggest problem with the Internet age and the normal pace of development. So if you find yourself feeling frustrated at the apparent lack of progress, well, I bet you are nowhere near as frustrated as me.
I had a conversation with Russ (primary driver of the Bitclub Network developments) this morning to see if I could gain any further insights into what is going on inside BCN. He is a hard man to get hold of these days so I value the opportunities I get to talk to him. After all, we only see the stuff they eventually report in the infrequent news bulletins on the BCN site normally.
I had a discussion about the trading platform and what I really wanted to establish there is - are we going to see a launch of this platform or has it effectively been scrapped? The answer was that it is still work in progress and there are some things yet to be resolved which could hold it up for perhaps even months yet.
What is good is that there is an absolute determination not to launch until they are 100% certain that it is everything they need it to be (and were promised by the developers) and right now, there are unanswered questions that need to be answered and quite a few of them at that.
The actual words Russ used here were "it would be so easy to launch and we know we could take in 20 or 30 million dollars within days if we did but I am not risking anyone's money until we are 100% OK with it all."
That fills me with confidence. There are many organisations out there that wouldn't give a hoot and could not think beyond the cash they could bring in. Another great example of why Bitclub is such a good programme to be with.
I had a little moan about the lack of visual evidence that the mining pool shares were not already showing 1,000 days again inside members accounts and on the site general pages. The answer back was that with a whole bunch of very important developments on the horizon and the work being undertaken in the build up to the Coinpay launch, as important as setting this right on site is, getting these critical new developments finished was seen as a higher priority.
To quote Russ again "there's no problem here, everyone has got 1,000 days but, as no-one is close to running out of days, so it isn't seen as a massively important issue right now. It will all get updated in good time but we're all focused on other really important things right now. That's why that isn't right at the top of the list of important things to do. Coinpay is right here, ready to launch and there's always things that we need to do and that'll get done along with the many others".
And that leads me nicely on to Coinpay. Every chance I get I have a shout out about this and always ask how near we are. To quote Russ again for the last time in this issue, "we're are close, close, close and, like you John, I think that Coinpay is the really big deal of all of this. I had a 2 hour demo this morning on the near finished product and it is amazing, amazing but there's a couple of little things that still need to be done".
So there you have it - it really does seem that Coinpay may be with us sooner rather than later and it is clear that I am not the only one really excited by this. Let me remind you all again about how important Coinpay could be:
1) Clubcoin value could go ballistic after launch. 2) Coinpay shares are going to be given to full BCN members (so if you don't have a mining pool share yet, you are risking maybe the biggest, most valuable giveaway you may ever see). 3) Coinpay will be a whole new income stream that we can all benefit from.
I just know that I am going to have people talking to me in the future, after Coinpay has been launched and they are going to be bemoaning the fact that they didn't get any Coinpay shares. So, step close, listen carefully as I say GET YOURSELF A MINING POOL SHARE! No point moaning afterwards...
I've heard all the arguments as to why it's all too complicated and confusing to get onboard. The fact is, some things are worth a little inconvenience and effort to get going with don't you think?
I am writing and producing a video based educational programme right now that is designed to take someone step by step into our digital currency world and show them the benefits of BCN membership - I hope to have it finished soon. I may stick the first 8 videos up sooner rather than later as they are already done. In fact, hell yes, why not, I will do just that.
When it's ready, it will be available on the Bit-Talk site. |
