Something Secret This Way Comes...
I don't often get excited about things and it takes a lot, generally, to make me curious but, Bitclub Network, in one fell swoop, have managed to do both to me.

They have me excited and very curious. Why?

Well there is a meeting come training event happening in Kuala Lumpur on 13th July to announce and launch a previously undisclosed project that they believe will get our pulses racing. I have absolutely no idea what it is except that it is something which has not previously been announced, mentioned or even discussed.

In their words "This has the potential to be bigger than anything we are doing."

It must be something quite huge otherwise, let's face it, why would you go to all the trouble of organising a big event to launch it if it wasn't? After all, you could simply announce it, launch it and take it from there. That is, after all, how they have tended to deal with things up to now.

I have booked my flight and my accommodation (fortunately a special accommodation package had been arranged to make life easier for us) and I eagerly await the event.

As I am there I may get a chance to ask some questions of the big players behind BCN so, if you have a question you want me to ask when I am there then please email it to me and I will put it on the list.

On a personal note I am thrilled with the location as I haven't been to KL since around 1995/96 and I remember then it being a fabulous city full of life and variety and very, very cheap for food and drink. That said, alcohol there is a little more expensive these days but you can still find great deals on food.

If you are a builder rank or above in BCN you can also attend and you should know that one Malaysian Ringgit is worth around 16p to 17p and the average cost of a good hotel room there is around 250 Ringgit just to put that in perspective (that's about £42).

When I stay in London, it costs me well over £130 per night just for a boxroom at a travel lodge!

Don't worry if you can't attend because the primary reason that I decided to go when I first heard about this was so that I can directly feed the information to you rather than get it second hand.

Anyway, I will let you know what is happening as soon as I know but I have the feeling that it could be a game changer.

Ethereum Pool...

DIRECT FROM BCN...

This week has been very interesting with Ethereum and the DAO. If you haven't heard there was a hack on the DAO platform that exposed a bug allowing hackers to steal around $60 million worth of Ether.

The DAO runs on top of the Ethereum platform and while Ethereum was not affected, just the DAO was breached it brought the entire Ethereum community together to figure out a solution on the best action to take on fixing it.

There were many proposals made before an attempt to "re-hack" the hackers was successful in recovering the funds. This has caused a very wild week in the crypto community and extreme volatility in the Bitcoin, Ether, DAO, and even ClubCoin prices.

We are in a very cool time right now. Blockchain technology is brand new and it has the power to re-shape the world in many different ways. Bugs are being exposed, then fixed and the progression in this industry is fun to watch and even more fun to be apart of!

Regardless of what happens next, this event will have a huge impact on the Ethereum network and the future of digital smart contracts. It may even define them entirely!

As for BitClub Network we are all in! We are taking the opportunity to load up on new Ethereum mining equipment and are very bullish on the future of this industry.

So today we have opened up 1,200 more shares of the Ethereum mining pool and we are allowing ANYONE to buy shares until its sold out. It does not matter if you already purchased a share or what rank and qualification you are at.

You can buy multiple shares and own many machines that you own and can request shipment if you want to mine them on your own!

DISCLAIMER: This is risky! Ethereum could end up failing and you could lose your entire investment, so please be aware of this and purchase any shares at your own risk.
Paypal Warming To Bitcoin?

It seems hard to imagine, but there are signs that Paypal maybe moving closer to Bitcoin.

Love them or hate them, if Paypal were to offer you the facility of exchanging Bitcoin and having ti directly deposit in your chosen currency within your Paypal account that would be big news.

That is literally one step away from being able to take Bitcoin into your bank and having them turn it into GBP for you.

OK, that isn't as good as you might think because, of course, they would absolutely take their pound of flesh from you as part of the deal BUT, if convenience is your thing (and it is for many) then you would probably welcome such a move.

At this time, of course, it is literally a case of "toe-dipping" but a huge player (payment processor) such as Paypal getting more intimately involved with Bitcoin serves us all very well indeed.

The article below elaborates.

BCN Website Not Showing Totals

I had noticed anyway, but a few of you have emailed/messaged me to say that when you log into your Bitclub Network site, the totals figures on the top black bar are missing -

They look like this currently:

My Wallet: N/A BTC ($N/A) | ClubCoin: N/A CC ($N/A) | Mining Earnings: N/A BTC

I have a theory that this is part of a security upgrade but I don't know and I have put a ticket in to ask why.

Once you log in the information you need regarding totals etc is in tact and where it should be but (for whatever reason) not showing on the black bar as we expect it to. I will update this in the next newsletter or when I have an answer.
