Buffet will include Smoked Salmon, Broasted Cod Fish, Shrimp Cocktail, Cream Herring, Wine Herring, and Cheese Blintzes along with all the other Sunday classics.

Jazz in Review: Part 4
Thursday, April 14th
Listen to the top 20 bands that have performed for the BJS over the first 10 years along with a few bonus tracks from the previous year. Those who attend will get some special treats and a few surprises along the way. Bring your friends for a fun evening!

Mark O'Connor Organ Trio
Thursday, April 21st
Join the BJS with another great live jazz event featuring the sounds of composer, band-leader, and saxophone player Mark O'Connor when he brings his Organ Trio to entertain the group. Only $10 suggested donation at the door for Guests. Raffle prizes donated by Fireside Cafe and Scarlett's Tara, both of which are on Harris Ave. in La Grange.

» Chicago White Sox Outing

For those of you who like to enjoy the nice weather with a few friends while hanging out with the White Sox during a night game, then we have a great idea for you...

We are currently working on a White Sox Outing that includes the Friday buffet at Sawa's Old Warsaw followed by a bus ride to watch the White Sox defeat the Mariners with Fireworks and ELVIS. Estimated cost per person is $85 all night, which will include everything.

» A Word of Thanks

Members of the Brookfield Jazz Society (BJS) would like to send a word of "thanks" out to everyone who came out to celebrate the 11th Anniversary Party held on Thursday, March 24th with the wonderful and talented Ava Logan Quartet.

It was a very fun evening playing requests and recognizing those who supported the BJS over the years.

Main Raffle and Member's Only Prizes from the night were donated by We're Nuts Popcorn & Palmer Place in La Grange.

[Price Compare]  For what was offered the prices are fair, however at the time of my visit many items were no available as advertised (Valentine's Day Breakfast Buffet)
[Additional Comments] Overall this was a very disappointing visit. We came in on Valentine's Day for our 9:30 a.m. reservations and many items on the buffet were not available, fruit, ham, and syrup to name some.

[Staff Changes] The hostess pay attention to us when we are standing right by her station.
[Additional Comments] We went in for Sunday dinner and because it was Valentine's Day they charged us $6.50 each extra and said it was because drinks were included and all the extra food which there was no extra food. There was no sign or information on the price increase online or at the restaurant.
