Closed on Sundays

We wanted to take a moment to mention that we are not open on Sundays. That includes Holiday events like Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Grandparents Day. This is not an easy choice for us as we know many of you enjoy the family get-togethers and Roast Duck during Sunday Brunch. We hope that as we hire and train more staff along the way that will be opening on Sundays once again. Thank you for your support and understanding.

A Word about the Birthday Cards

Sawa's Old Warsaw does not manage any type of a Birthday Club, nor do we have any plans do so in the future. Out of respect for the privacy for our customers we choose not to keep certain personal details, such as birthdays, in our system. We do, however, send out Birthday Postcards to those who fill out the Speak Out Forms inside the restaurant. In addition, those requests that came in via the Speak Out Online Form for cards as already been honored. Keep on eye on your snail mail to enjoy your Free Buffet Dinner on your Birthday.
A Word about the Newsletter

Without going into too much detail, we wanted to mention that the service that we use to manage our newsletters has recently gone through some upgrades with certain features on how everyone signs up. As a result we have been trying to modify our setup to accommodate the new additions while maintaining the current templates. We apologize for any confusion from our previous newsletter with the links that were not working as advertised with respect to get everyone updated. Now, with that being said lets try this one more time...

Using the link (button) below will open a new form that is set to UPDATE all your details in the system. As long you are using the SAME EMAIL ADDRESS you can add or modify any of the fields available. What is the kicker? We are also trying to work with other features to send out some information automatically to new sign-ups, but that is only for those who enjoy getting discounts on the buffet.
INTRODUCTION

A huge "thank you" for everyone that took the time to give us Feedback using our online forms over the past couple of months. As mentioned from prior editions, we are currently working on updating our Speak Out Offer and will look forward to sending those out in the near future. In the meantime...

[Most Favorite]: Soup chicken salad bar dessert coffer
[Service Quality]: Eva and Barb. Best service
[Additional Feedback]: Best chicken. Good prices. Very clean premises

Andrew Kaplan from Lansing, IL
[Most Favorite]: Potato pancakes
[Service Quality]: Was not that good
[Staff Changes]: More attentive service
[Additional Feedback]: The seating was a little [cramped] and I don’t understand how you can charge a 10% tip and a 15% gratuity for six guests or more at a Buffet. I understand 10% or 15% and it is stated on the sign that it is 15% but how can you do both.

 WEBSITE FEEDBACK FORM

Jeffrey P. from Hometown, USA
General feedback and/or suggestions about the website and newsletter...: I did not see any information on the website for Easter Sunday. Will you be open for Easter Brunch or dinner? If so, are you taking reservations? I would like to make a reservation for 2 people.
  • § Newsletter Response: Jeffery, we won't be open for Easter Sunday, Mother's Day or Father's Day as we are not currently open on Sundays. We hope to be open on Sundays down the road.

Maryann F. from Hometown, USA
General feedback and/or suggestions about the website and newsletter...: I tried to go to the update link in the current newsletter and it only asked for a new email address which I don't have (a new email address) so I wasn't able to fill in the missing fields.
P.S. We always look forward to visiting. The food never disappoints.
  • § Newsletter Response: Maryann, Please try the link above that says Contact Update Form with your currently email address to get your details updated in the system.

Barbara K. from Tinley Park, IL
Hello. My mother, Lynda Soprych, passed away a few months ago. While cleaning out her house I found a gift certificate for $50.00. There is no expiration date listed but I wanted to confirm it is still valid. I also found a [Dinner for Three] certificate dated July 2012 that she won a smorgasbord meal for herself and two guests as she was the July/August Events Newsletter Contest Winner. I realize this card is 11 years old but also wanted to ask if it is still valid and if my brother and I could use it on our next visit.
  • § Newsletter Response: Barbara, We are very sorry for your loss. Lynda was not only a long time customer, but also a avid reader of the Polonia Gazeta and frequent supporter of providing Feedback. She will truly be missed. With respect to the Gift Certificates those are absolutely still good as they don't expire and we will welcome them the next time you and your family come in.
