Course Updates
The installation of our new irrigation system started last November and due to favorable weather the progress has been great. The mainline pipe, which is 6 inches in diameter or larger, has been installed and half of the greens have been completed. Everything inside the existing pump station building was removed so the new pumps, motors and electrical components could be installed. Along with new double doors for pump maintenance, the building will also be painted inside and out and have heating and new lights installed. Our contractor, Thielen Irrigation, is onsite now and in the next 14 days will complete the remaining greens, finish work in the pump station building and start installation on fairways and tees. If the weather cooperates the project should be completed by May. When work begins on fairways, which will be one hole at a time, that hole will be closed for the safety of the installers for about 1 1/2 days. We will work around any early season tournaments to prevent hole closures.

Another significant improvement to the course is the renovation of #3 tee. We removed the crown in the middle of #3 tee, installed new sod and lined the tee up with the green resulting in 50% more favorable teeing area. It should be ready for play in mid April.

Our spring greens aerification will take place towards the end of March. When an exact date is scheduled I will send out a message.
