Fellow Pines C.C. Member,
The Course Committee is committed to improving the quality and enjoyment of the course for golfers of all skill levels and capabilities. After reviewing all your feedback and concerns, the committee will be implementing some exciting changes to the course for 2019 (especially for those members that played the Yellow or Red tees).
As most of you have already discovered in the newsletter, the colors of our tee markers will be changing, along with some of the distances and pars. The tee colors will now be (Black – 6713 yards Par 71, Blue – 6335 yards Par 71, White – 5580 yards Par 71, Green – 5176 yards, Par 72, and Orange – 3052 yards, Par 72). In addition to those options, on the back of our new scorecard will be blended tee options to offer play “in between” course yardages (ex. black/blue, blue/white, white/green).
For the former Yellow Tee players: The changes to the hole yardages and pars are: #2 is now a par 5 playing 438 yards, #4 is now a par 4 playing 370 yards, #7 is a par 3 playing 156 yards and #10 will now be a par 5 playing 418 yards.
For the former Red Tee Players: The changes to the hole yardages and pars are: #5 will play from a new tee box at 290 yards and #13 will play from a new tee box at 339 yards. We are awaiting the new scorecards with the updates above. We hope to have the new scorecards for April 1st. Once the new cards are available the new tee markers will be put out on the course.
If you have any questions about the above changes or would like clarifications, please email the Course Committee at pinesgcc@gmail.com. Let’s have a great 2019! The Pines C.C. Course Committee
