We are pleased to announce that food and beverage service will be available at the Pines Country Club starting on May 11, 2020 through a new restaurant operation, “The Tavern at the Pines”.
The Tavern at the Pines will operate 7 days a week from 10:30 until business decline each day. Reservations are required for all seating both inside and outside. Seating will be limited in both areas in order to comply with social distancing requirements.
Rest assured that the Tavern at the Pines will strictly comply with sanitation orders and guidelines established by Governor Justice, the Monongalia County Health Department, and WV Alcohol Beverage Control Administration. Expect to see masks, gloves, appropriate table spacing, posted or disposable menus, etc. Temperature scans may be employed for the safety of members and staff and to ensure member safety the Tavern at the Pines will not be open to the general public.
Food and beverage service will include an on course beverage cart and sandwich and drink selections available at the turn. Because the Pines has an exclusivity agreement with The Tavern at the Pines, members are asked not to bring food and beverages on premises after May 10, 2020. Also, please comply with the requirements for proper attire while on premises.
Consider that The Tavern at the Pines is not initiating food and beverage service under ideal conditions and there will be hiccups for a while. Due to the effects of COVID-19 currently confronting the food and beverage industry there will inevitably be staffing training issues and shortages, supply chain shortages and limited menu items. We ask that you be patient until such time as we can fully open our facilities and celebrate together the formal opening of The Tavern at the Pines with a member’s party.
Finally, we are anticipating that The Tavern at the Pines will host an “Italian Food Night” on Mondays and a “Steak Night” on Thursdays beginning the week of May 18, 2020. Exiting and good times are just ahead.
