Cost
The costs for this event will be $70 paid to the Pro-Shop, with cart-fee paid upon check-in. Of this entry fee, $35 will go to the Gross Prize Pool, $35 will go to the Net Prize Pool, all prizes will be paid in Pro Shop credit.
Format
The Run for the Roses is a Two-Person team event, consisting of three nine-hole formats: Four-ball (Front 9), Scramble (Back 9), and Modified Alternate-Shot (Front 9). This is a pick-your-partner event, however if you do not have a partner, the pro-shop will happily pair you up a partner as needed. For this event, there will be Men’s, Senior’s, and Women’s divisions.
Handicap Structure
This is a combined handicap event. You and your partner will combine your Pines CC course handicap indexes from the appropriate tees for your division. The handicap breakdown for the formats will be as follows:
• Four-Ball / Best-Ball (Front 9): 90% of Each Player’s Individual Handicap
• 2-Person Scramble (Back 9): 35% of the Lower Handicap Player’s Course Handicap added to 15% of the Higher Handicap Player’s Course Handicap.
• Modified Alternate-Shot (Front 9): 60% of the Lower Handicap Player’s Course Handicap added to 40% of the Higher Handicap Player’s Course Handicap.
• Ties-Breaker Procedure: Ties for the overall results will go to the low team score on the Modified Alternate Shot 9-hole score, followed by the Four-Ball 9-hole score, followed by 2-Person Scramble 9-hole score.
