NEW COURSE RULE PER BOD

We all love and enjoy our high quality golf course. However, we have all noted over the years and in recent days, continuing high temperatures have resulted in brown areas and damage to our course, particularly to our tee areas and the areas surrounding our greens.

The added stress to the tee boxes and fringe areas of the greens caused by golfers operating push carts and electric carts over tee boxes and along the fringe and grass in close proximity to the greens is resulting in additional and unnecessary damage to those areas.

Given the foregoing, the Board of the Pines Country Club wishes to inform all of our golfing members of the formal adoption of a Rule/Regulation effective immediately, prohibiting golfers from operating their personal push cart, (both manual and battery driven), within 30 feet of the greens and within 5 feet of teeing areas.

Any golfer observed in violation of this rule will be warned verbally the first time. Any subsequent violation(s) by the same member will be brought to the attention of the Pines Board Bylaws, Rules and Regulation committee which will make a recommendation to the full Board for consideration of appropriate sanctions.

We thank you and appreciate your attention to this important matter affecting the quality of the golfing experience for all of our golfing members.
