Subject: Food Policy

It has come to our attention that there has been some negative feedback on the letter concerning food policies, handed out at the pool. While we haven't heard specific complaints or comments, we did want to briefly address the issue.

The restaurant of a private country club is always a difficult venue for profitability, but we think you'll agree that it enhances the overall club experience. Without the support of the attending public, it's impossible to maintain quality service, food, and drink. The Clubhouse Grill at the Pines has made a conscientious effort to provide, as much as possible, the greater variety of snacks and food items requested by our members, and it's essential that you patronize them as an important part of membership. Exclusivity has always been a significant and necessary part of our lease agreements with the restaurants, and lack of member patronage has been a factor in restaurant turnover.

Also, please do not fault the lifeguards for enforcing this policy; as we're sure you are aware they did not impose it, but simply were asked to implement it. You are welcome to speak to the office staff, or to Gigi with the Clubhouse Grill if you have any questions or comments.

Thank you for your time - we appreciate all our members!
