Subject: Take Heart

Dear Friends,

Join us this Sunday for Reformation Sunday at 8 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.! You are invited, but not required, to wear red!

In the moment the blind man cried out for help, many around him told him to be quiet.
But he wouldn't shut up. And then he heard the words,

"Take heart, get up, Jesus is calling you."
(Mark 10:46-52)

And Bartimaeus received his sight, through the gift of faith.

Times of stillness are part of the rhythm of a healthy soul. But the Scriptures also name as holy the moments when we allow a heartfelt cry to break the silence. The grace of God compels us to call on God, and our cries for help create an opportunity for a community to respond with compassion and creativity.

This Sunday, there will be moments of silence. There will be cries for deliverance. And their will be songs of joy as we celebrate the renewing power of the Spirit among us.

See you Sunday!
