Dear Friends,

This Sunday, we invite you to worship with you at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. as we celebrate "Reformation Season" at Pilgrim.
We will be debuting a a brand new
liturgy using music written by
Luther or by one of his contemporaries. We are excited for you to experience it!

We also invite you for Sunday School and Explore the Bible Class at 9:15 a.m.

We will receive inspiration from a God who enters our moments of rejection in order to build something amazing, beautiful, and life-giving. Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the scriptures: "The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord's doing, and it is amazing in our eyes'? (Matthew 21:42)

Enjoy your holiday weekend!

Excerpt of a letter from Holy Family Lutheran Church regarding October 14th Revival: Pastor Johnson, we are writing today to again thank you for agreeing to serve as our preacher at our upcoming revival on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 6:00 PM at 542 W Hobbie Street, Chicago, IL 60610. This letter also serves as an invitation to the members of your congregation, Pilgrim Lutheran, to join us at the revival. They are most welcome! Our revival theme is “Justified by Faith.” The scripture we’ve chosen for the day is Ephesians 2:8-9: For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God—not the result of works, so that no one may boast. We want all who come to be revived in their hearts and minds, in their homes, in our congregations, in our nation and in our world, in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
