Long time member and Pilgrim School supporter, Louise Streit, passed away on Saturday, October 7th. The family invites the Pilgrim community to a celebration of her life on Saturday, November 26th, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 200 S. Wille Street, Mt Prospect, IL 60056.

Holding Your Family Together - Please join us on Wednesday, November 1st, as we explore best practices in neurology, sociology, psychology, and theology related to how we do bedtimes as a household using Rev. Dr. Rich Melheim's Course, "Holding your Family Together." It is a wonderful content and really uplifting to our faith.  Our next gathering will be this Wednesday, November 1st at 5:30 p.m. to 6:20 p.m. 

Sunday School - We encourage all children ages 3 through 5th grade to join us at 9:15 a.m. on Sundays. If you are interested in bringing a snack, reading a story, or shadowing a Sunday School teacher, please contact Sunday School coordinator Chris Wallis at  

Cocktails for a Cause! Join us Friday, November 10th for an evening with friends to support the Dave Maring School Endowment Fund, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Celtic Crown Public House, 4301 N. Western, 60618. Fill up on appetizers, enjoy some beverages and help us fill up the fund, which helps with projects and allows more children/families to experience a Pilgrim Education. Tickets are on sale in the school office and after each worship service, $40 before event, or $50 at the door.

Pubic Church Pop-Up Happy Hour - Encouragement and Networking for Leaders - You are invited to join Evanston area congregations for happy hour drinks, appetizers, and networking at a Public Church Pop-up Event, co-sponsored by the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Evanston. Rev. Erik Christensen of LSTC and Rev. Keith Fry of Immanuel Lutheran will share experiences of building and leading worship that engages the public church. Thank You to all women who attended our first WELCA meeting! Great turn out with 20 women! After the informative presentation, our meeting ended with a vote to form a Pilgrim group of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Next, we need to draw up our constitution, based on a model constitution provided by WELCA. If you were not at the meeting, but want to be on the distribution list for upcoming events, please inform Renee at

The next WELCA meeting will be Sunday, November 19th, in the Annex following the late service. We will discuss our Constitution and specific action items recommended by the national group. All women are invited!

Exploring the Bible - Join us on Sundays at 9:15 a.m. for "Explore the Bible" Class, that is open to people of all backgrounds and levels of familiarity. We will meet in Maring Hall and explore the basics of the Lutheran way of being Christian, in light of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation.

Prayer Time - We invite you to join us Saturday mornings at 8:30 a.m. at the Parsonage for a time of prayer… it is so renewing!

Annual PTL Greenery Fundraiser - Please support Pilgrim Lutheran School’s classrooms by purchasing greenery for the holidays! Local Delivery items will be available for pickup at Pilgrim on December 3. Direct Delivery items will be sent to the recipient to arrive within the first two weeks after Thanksgiving. The Cinco de Pilgrim Push for 25K Raffle! A mailing is going out soon sharing this opportunity with the Pilgrim community! We are inviting each household to sell 10 raffle tickets at $25 each, or to make a special offering of $250 in support of our ministry and inspired by our big annual fundraiser coming up on May 5, of 2018.
