Dear Friends,

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate the end of the summer worship season with our final 9:30 a.m. service. It is an important time to gather so that we are not overcome by evil, but can overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21)

Also, please note that The ELCA Lutheran Disaster Response’s affiliate is actively present in Texas and Louisana responding to Hurricane Harvey. Gifts to Lutheran Disaster Response, designated for "Hurricane Response – United States" will be used entirely (100 percent) for this disaster until
the response is complete. Please pray for the people who have been affected and are in the path of
Hurricane Harvey. You may give to the ELCA's Disaster response here:
Or you can make checks out to Pilgrim Lutheran Church and place
"Hurricane Harvey" on the memo line. We will then send the total offerings
received to ELCA Hurricane Harvey Response.

Our Fall Worship Schedule begins next week, Sunday, September 10th. We will return to having two services at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. We look forward to having you join us!

It's Block Party Season! Each fall, Pilgrim throws a unifying party for our church, school, school alumni, hot meals guests, and neighbors. Each year we do some things the same, but we also innovate a little bit each year, depending on the ideas and gifts of those involved. It is an opportunity to highlight the amazing community we have at Pilgrim, and is a wonderful embodiment of our mission to gather, prepare, and send!
This year we will be celebrating on Sunday, September 17th. Please contact Sarah Lau if you are interested in helping AND sign up to volunteer for all sorts of good things at We hope you'll join us!

Finally, thanks to Congregation members for the many ways that you support the school. You are always welcome to visit and volunteer in our classrooms. We praise God for all our blessings!

Thank you from Pastor David Langseth - We received the following heartfelt message:

Sincerely in Christ, David Langseth
