Subject: Good Friday Walk for Peace

Take Part in Good Friday Walk for Peace

Our hearts break as we recognize the violence and the precious lives lost in our city.  Good Friday invites us to the foot of the cross...
to recognize our pain,
Chicago's pain,
and to join others in embodying peace and reconciliation
in our world and in our streets.

You are invited to join people of good will, including civic, education and religious leaders (Including Archbishop Cupich of the Chicago Diocese, Bishop Wayne Miller of the Metropolitan Chicago Synod ELCA, and National Bishop Elizabeth Eaton of the ELCA)  from across the city to join him for a Walk for Peace through Englewood on Good Friday, April 14.

If you would like to drive down/ride down together with Pastors Kristian and Anna-Kari and Family, please join us by meeting at the parsonage (4332 N. Winchester, Chicago, IL, 60613) at 9:20 a.m.

The walk will begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Benedict the African Church, at the corner of 66th Street and Stewart Avenue. During the walk, participants will trace the Stations of the Cross and pause along the way to remember those who lives were lost to violence.
