Subject: Finding Peace in Lent

Dear Friends,

After another hard week, we need a time and a space for our souls to be blessed, and our hearts to be refreshed in love. Join us this Sunday at 8 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. as we hear God say to us, “You are loved. The Kingdom of God has come near.” (Mark 1:9-15)

And this Kingdom is rooted in love. When Jesus says, “The time has been fulfilled,” he offers to us a peace the world cannot give. This Sunday, we will not only be reflecting on the teachings of Jesus, but also on the life and ministry St. Francis of Assisi as we allow God to guide us in the ways of peace.
Lent: A Time for Peace—We invite you to be intentional during this season of Lent. Our theme is “Lent: A Time for Peace”. We will be reflecting on the teachings of Jesus and St. Francis of Assisi as we allow God to guide us in the ways of peace. Devotionals are now ready to pick up in the back of the Sanctuary, and we also recommend an ebook titled: Lent with St. Francis by Diane Houdek. You can order the book by clicking here:

First Communion Class
—We invite everyone who is in 2nd grade or older to participate in our upcoming First Communion Program. The interactive class (geared for adults as well as children and youth) is focused on helping us grow in our relationship with God. At 7:00 p.m. we will have a brief Reflective Worship: Prayers Around the Cross, a very centering, peaceful worship setting by Marty Haugen. At 7:30 p.m. the Harmony Choir will have rehearsal.

We are specifically looking for help in the areas of donations and sponsorships - it’s work that can largely be done from the comfort of your couch! Email Ana Caref if you’re able to help:
