Subject: Expanding our Family

Dear Friends,

Congratulations to all graduates!  We will offer a special prayer of appreciation for all graduates this Sunday at 9:30 a.m.!

We Christians have issues.  We are often guilty of both self-righteousness and apathy.  The institutional aspects of community can be draining.

And yet...

the good news of Jesus of Nazareth is dripping with the power to renew us.

Through Jesus, we find the grace to admit our hurts and our fears and receive forgiveness, comfort, and strength.
Through Jesus, we find a way to work through conflict by speaking the truth in love, falling into deeper community.
Through Jesus, we find the intersection of our joy and the world's need, fulfilling our calling in life.

This Sunday, we will celebrate the proclamation in 2nd Corinthians 4:  "All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God."   We celebrate the ways God is continually expanding our family!

Join us this Sunday at 9:30 a.m.!

It is an opportunity to highlight the amazing community we have at
Pilgrim, and is a wonderful embodiment of our mission to gather, prepare, and send! Our next meeting to bring together ideas and to divvy up jobs will be on Wednesday, June 20th at 8 p.m. in the church parlor. Contact Sarah Lau if you are interested in helping at We hope you'll join us!

We encourage both one-time donations and on-going monthly donations to this campaign over the coming 12 months. To give, visit
