Subject: 100 Words

Dear Friends,

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate the love of God and the creativity of God's children on Valentine's Day. We will enjoy special music and hear live readings of "100 Word Love Letters" written by various members of the Pilgrim community.

Join us at 8 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.!
Lent at Pilgrim 2016 “40 Days of Creativity”
Because we are all made in God’s image...we are creative! (Genesis 1:26) Our Lenten Theme is “40 Days of Creativity”. Each Wednesday starting on February 10th, we gather at 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. for a community dinner for all ages, followed by an interactive prayer/creative activity that will draw us closer to God, to one another, and our community! We are looking for creative ideas and people to weave together as we journey toward the cross and the empty tomb. We also recommend a book for your Lenten Journey: “The Artisan Soul” by Erwin McManus on, either as an ebook or as a hard copy as we move through “40 Days of Creativity” throughout Lent.

Group Outing to see the movie “Risen”
A new big budget film called “Risen” is coming out, exploring the resurrection of Jesus from the eyes of a non-believer. Meet at the parsonage for rides at 4 p.m. on Friday, February 19th to go to the 4:40 showing at the Regal Cinemas, 2600 N. Western. Please come join us!

Lenten Pottery Project—We invite you to participate in a special activity as a part of our Lenten theme, “40 Days of Creativity”. We are hosting a three week pottery project which will occur in conjunction with our First Communion class. Under the leadership of Cynde Heiniger and with the help of Pilgrim’s kiln, each child will design, sculpt and fire their very own clay cup (chalice) which will serve as a meaningful symbol of faith that each family can receive into their home. Sessions will be held from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, February, 17th, 24th and March 2nd. Please RSVP to including the age of your child and whether you as an adult can come and help as well. Many thanks to Cynde Heiniger for coordinating this wonderful project! (You are not required to sign up for First Communion to participate in this project

Dining Group—on Sunday, February 21st at 5:30 p.m. will be going to Mango Mexican Restaurant at 8743 N. Milwaukee Ave, in Niles. It is in a mini mall with plenty of parking & a full bar. Contact Julie at 773-764-3140 for reservations.
