Presented to you by the Prince George's County Social Innovation Fund

As Prince George’s County continues to develop and grow, we are anxiously awaiting the development of the purple line. However, work on the Purple Line light rail remains at a stand-still across Prince George’s and Montgomery County. These delays could push the opening into 2026. As we talk about race equity, this is where the rubber meets the road as one of the largest areas of race inequity is in transportation.

Join us for a town hall meeting where we will have a robust discussion over how we got here and what are the next steps for moving construction forward. We will also examine how this delay impacts persistent wealth disparities and how we assert our power towards an equitable solution.

community development, and race and inclusion to examine this question

and discuss solutions for eliminating the wealth gap.
