Pathagoras v. 2025.1

Preamble to this newsletter: I have already taken my summer vacation. So if you have any questions or need a GoToMeeting session to discuss the below new features, or anything else Pathagoras, I'll be around the whole season!

We are pleased to announce the formal release of Pathagoras v. 2025.1.This version contains a few new tools and improvements that we hope you will like. Most came from your suggestions! Many of the new features below have actually been part of the program for quite a few months now for beta-testing by those who asked for the features. We publicly release this version only after we had thoroughly tested them.

As you will see, we have been very active in making Pathagoras one of the best document assembly tools on the market, while remaining true to its 'Plain Text . . . Plain Easy' underpinnings.

Here are a few of the 'big' ones in this release:

Default AskOptions/Optional Values

When you have lots of interview questions, but you know that many answers will always be the same, go ahead and set a default value for each of the 'standard' ones.

While the <<AskOptions . . .>> tables are still the primary tool for creating complex interviews to get to the best document for your clients, sometimes you just need simple. We have programmed a tool that will allow you to simply check on and off checkboxes which will generate those simpler documents that don't require cascading and complex questions.

I will join you on your computer at the scheduled time and look at what you have set up. I may offer some suggestions on how to improve on what you are doing. Maybe (with your permission) I'll introduce you to a new feature or two that I think would be useful to your practice. We charge nothing for this advice. It's just part of the Support Agreement for which you are paying. (If you let the Support Agreement lapse, you can resubscribe to it without penalty for the lapse, and your support agreement runs from the date of your renewal forward 365 days. The Check Status button below will take you through the process.)

Tip of this Newsletter: If you have read down this far, I owe you my thanks, and a tip. Type the word 'last' onto a blank line in a Word editing screen. Press <Alt-G>. This action will re-open the last document you were working on. This tool is great for when you recently saved and closed a document, but realized you need to make one last change. This is soooo much faster than navigating to it.
