Subject: Asking for your advice on drones, Friend

Hello Friend,

We are all experts in our own way.  People come to you to ask for help and insight on certain things, I'm sure. It feels nice to be seen as a trusted expert and problem-solver for people, right?

That photo is Dave McCreary, President of NewAgeAerial.com, standing with me to enjoy the featuring of his operations in the book.  The cover photo and the image overlay are from his company. When people want an expert to conduct a drone mission for civil engineering in Northern California, they often come to him.

I'm in a bind, Friend.  I'm hoping you can give me two small pieces of your advice.

I'm looking for (1) good topics about commercial drones to talk about that can help people the most. And (2) I'm looking for the best venue to share that information.

Since my book "Success with Drones in Civil Engineering" has been published in May, I've been dripping out some knowledge and content from the book.  Elaborating on certain points too.

It could be on UAS architecture options, project management of drone operations, or the business and selling side of drones. Those correspond to the three sections of the book where I go into a lot of details on each aspect.

You probably know a lot about drones and engineering already, Friend, because we have talked about them together. How would you love to be more of an expert or sought-after person?  Give me your advice and I'll listen.

Then, please tell me how you would like to hear from me on that topic.  Video on YouTube?  Periscope video broadcast?  Emails like this?

Lately I've been experimenting with Periscope.  (Periscope is a livestreaming platform tightly coupled with Twitter, if you didn't know.)  If you have an account on that, please look for me at @BrettRocketSci (same as my Twitter handle).  You'll be able to watch and listen to previous recordings I made about using a drone for civil engineering.

It could be that I've already answered your request in one of those videos.  Please check them out if you use Periscope. Or type out a quick reply to me here now so I can get your advice.

You are in a leading position with commercial drones, Friend. I want to see you succeed more!  Let's make it happen together.

Yours truly,
 Brett Hoffstadt
