ROUND-UP OF MEMBERS' NEWS
Fairfield University's Quick Center is proud to announce that, following its sold-out performances of War Stories: A Veterans Project, in Fairfield it will now be performing this collaborative project at Brooklyn Academy of Music next Thurs. June 22, 8pm. The show, bold monologues based on veterans’ real-life experiences battling addiction, homelessness, loves and losses, backed by the NEA, CT Office of the Arts and Fairfield University, is a collaboration between producer Steve Ruchefsky, writer Sonya Huber, artist Nina Bentley and theatre-maker and Director of the Quick Center, Peter Van Heerden, with veteran performers from ARBI/Homes for the Brave in Bridgeport.  Read more...
Fairfield University's Quick Center is pleased to announce that Melissa Matuska has joined the staff as the new Sales and Events Manager. Melissa brings a wealth of experience in events management through her recent position at Jay Z’s 40/40 Club in New York City, and a strong background in volunteer management from her work in alumni relations at Long Island University and the University of Arkansas. Melissa looks forward to serving the Quick community and encourages you to be in contact for more information on renting the Quick or offering your volunteer experience by contacting her at mmatuska@fairfield.edu or 203-254-4000 ext. 2979.
