Membership and subscriptions are way down. The cliff-edge of lost members was accelerated by COVID now what do we need to grow our audiences?
  • Is membership an outdated model, or do we need new strategies and ideas?
  • How do we keep and re-engage members/subscribers?
  • What can we learn from those who have renewed - what more might they want?
  • How do we find the new migrants from New York?
  • What are some cross-marketing possibilities?
Hear from members about new strategies that seem to be working as we seek new audiences.
RADIO INTERVIEW SHOW
ACE AWARDEES ON THE ROLE OF ARTS & CULTURE IN BUILDING COMMUNITY
MONDAY JUNE 12, NOON
WPKN 89.5FM
As we celebrate our ACE Awardees (see details here), we are interviewing them on our show this month about the role that community plays in their work. At our June 21 awards breakfast we will focus on how the arts and culture is the glue for our communities, highlighting the significant role that artists and arts and cultural institutions play in connecting communities across government, businesses, nonprofit agencies, educational institutions and municipalities. This connection activates communities, offers common ground, and creates a sense of place that leads to economically and socially thriving communities.
Our guests are:

Vic Mulaire, The NEST Arts Factory, Citizen Award
David Genovese, Baywater Properties, Corporate Award
Jenny Nelson, Westport Country Playhouse, Educator Award
Michael Jehle, Fairfield Museum & History Centre, Nonprofit Award

Tune in Monday June 12 at noon on 89.5FM, wpkn.org, to learn about how the arts and culture connects and integrates community.

CREATE BETTER SURVEYS
WORKSHOP THURS. JUNE 15, 9:30AM-12PM
HARTFORD
Survey data can help you gather important information about your programs, clients, and services. However, there is a science to crafting and designing surveys that gather meaningful insights to improve your work. No matter what kind of survey you create, this class will give you the knowledge and skills to create high-quality surveys that collect valuable data.
By the end of this session, you will learn how to:
  • Develop questions that result in meaningful data collection.
  • Rewrite survey questions using best practices.
  • Create a high-quality survey.
Please contact Jackie at Jackie@ctdata.org with any questions.

A note about the fee: We offer a sliding scale to make our workshops accessible to everyone. The standard rate reflects the cost of running the workshop, while the affordable rate covers only the materials. For those who are able and willing to contribute more, we offer a supporter rate, which helps us continue our work and mission. We want everyone to have the opportunity to attend our workshops, and we appreciate your support at whatever rate works best for you.
