Patrick J. Flaherty is Director of Research at the CT Department of Labor. The Office of Research gathers, analyzes, and disseminates information on the economy, workforce, and careers. In our Marketing Roundtable session, Patrick Flaherty outlined the demographic trends affecting Connecticut as a whole and Fairfield County in particular, focusing especially on developments since the pandemic.
NEXT FUNDING BOOSTER SESSION

The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County’s Funding Booster program is free and open to all members. The program is designed to help all grant writers, including artists, from beginners to seasoned veterans, learn new skills, and burnish old ones, in order to be as successful as possible in all their grant writing ambitions.

NOMINATE AN ARTS HERO IN OUR REGION
The Connecticut Arts Hero Awards honor and celebrate Connecticut residents who are doing inspiring things in, for, or through the arts in Connecticut. Since 2016, the Connecticut Arts Hero Awards have introduced us to an array of remarkable individuals engaged in or supporting the arts - some publicly and some behind the scenes.
 
The Connecticut Arts Hero Awards will be presented on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Infinity Hall in Hartford, Connecticut.  The event is free and open to all.
 
NOMINATE your Arts Hero in our region by completing this Survey Monkey form. Questions will include, among others: "Tell us about your nominee.  How do they engage in and/or support the arts?" (200 words); "Why do you believe this person should be recognized as an Arts Hero?" (150 words);"Is what they do part of their regular employment for which they are paid?;" "Tell us how your nominee and their work in the arts aligns with the Connecticut Office of the Arts' READI values. (150 words). "Provide live links to supporting materials, such as newspaper articles, publications, photos, resume OR type "None"."

In discussing with our EDN Steering Committee the idea to have a ”fair," showing what Cultural Alliance members offer the public, we decided to accept the invitation to have our tent at the upcoming Waveny Park Arts Fest on October 1. We invite you to join us - by showing up, by creating a demonstration/ performance during a 15-minute time slot, by offering free tickets or other giveaways through a raffle, to bring collateral material and to mix and mingle with the public and other CAFC members. Sunday, October 1, 10AM - 4PM 

Creatively showcase your organization in any of the following ways:

  • Share collateral material for the table (1 item type per organization)
  • Volunteer to greet tent visitors
