A study published in the “Journal of Clinical Biochemistry and Nutrition” backs this up.

The guys in the lab coats took 41 obese and overweight men and put them on a 12-week lifestyle modification program. The participants were split into two groups to assess whether testosterone production was best served by increased activity levels or reduced calorie intake.

What did the study find?

When the 12-weeks were over, the researchers concluded that higher physical activity has a greater effect on increased T-levels compared to a restricted diet.

This is great news, because it shows you don’t have to perform high-intensity sprints or heavy weight lifting to push your testosterone numbers up. Regular walking, and in particular taking 10,000 steps per day, can help elevate this vital sex hormone.
